Interclub Game: Fresh Legs vs Old Heads
The Lugi Lions have a grand tradition of the interclub game. When I joined the club in 2008 it seemed that every second week thirty Lugi boys would pull on a strip and hit the field to bash some heads. We have had Swedes vs foreigners, locals vs bytis, coaches pick vs vice-coaches pick and of course a Lugi favourite, veterans vs youngsters.
And it is just as well we have the numbers to do this: down here in Skåne we don’t get as many opportunities to hit the park as we would like. The interclub games are a great opportunity to try out new combinations and get players experience in new positions.
So join us, young and old, down at the clubhouse at 2pm this Saturday for the innagural:
Rob Leishman Cup: Fresh Legs vs Old Heads
It should be a fun hit out.
BYO beer for some after match awards then roll on to the pub.
